Voices of Ukrainians: Readings in Support of Ukraine

This past Friday, PEN America hosted a remarkable event via Zoom bringing together writers from across the United States along with their Ukrainian colleagues for readings in support of the Ukrainian people. A great demonstration of solidarity, the reading was organized in cooperation with Askold Melniczuk, Jennifer Haigh, and Oksana Lutsyshyna, and featured, among others, Paul Auster, Siri Hustvedt, Jennifer Haigh, Richard Ford, Ha Jin, and Carolyn Forche, with Ukrainian authors including Serhiy Zhadan, Victoria Amelina, Halyna Kruk, and Ostap Slyvynsky.
