PEN Ukraine's Dialogues on War at the London Book Fair

Today, 6 April, the most recent installment of PEN Ukraine and PEN International’s Dialogues On War series is taking place at the London Book Fair. The English-language series is developed in partnership with several other organizations including PEN America, Ukrainian Institute, Ukrainian Institute London, Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University, UkraineWorld, and The Harriman Institute at Columbia University, and brings together Ukrainian and foreign intellectuals to discuss experiences and observations on Russia’s war on Ukraine.

This morning’s discussion features Andrei Kurkov, the prolific author and President of PEN Ukraine, whose most recent work focuses on the Ukrainian struggle for freedom and independence, especially in the so-called ‘grey zone’ in the eastern part of the country. Kurkov will be speaking with independent broadcast journalist Georgina Godwin, a regular chair of literary events worldwide, as well as Books Editor for Monocle 24 and presenter of the author interview show “Meet the Writers” and the award winning current affairs program “The Globalist”.

The event will be available to stream here.
